Maintaining a Safe Clinic

We have followed the Government and the College of Podiatry guidelines about social distancing, PPE and clinic hygiene. We contact our patients at least 24 hours before their appointment to ensure they do not have any symptoms of COVID-19.

What to expect from The Hartland Podiatry Clinic?

Face Masks & Face Coverings

Every customer/ patient needs to wear a mask or a face covering during the visit to the clinic unless for medical exemptions. Children are also exempted from this.

Hand Sanitiser

You will be asked to clean your hands with hand santisier on your arrival to the clinic to reduce the spread of Coronavirus on surfaces.

Air Filtration

We have Dyson air purifiers in the clinic to help reduce the potential for airborne transmission of COVID-19 indoors.

PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)

Our clinician will be wearing the appropriate personal protection equipment.

Social Distancing/ Extended Appointment Times

If you are coming for an appointment please do not bring anyone else with you to the appointment unless you’re accompanying a child or a carer. We have extended our appointment times to reduce the number of patients in the clinic so social distancing can be maintained during your stay at the clinic.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are you still open during lock downs?

YES – we are a medical clinic, which means we are allowed to be open during the Government lock downs.

I am in a different location tier to your clinic (Wantage, Oxfordshire); can I still attend my appointment?

YES – we can treat patients regardless of their location tier.

Can you treat me?

YES – we are able to treat everyone. There are NO health restrictions. We have been adhering to the strict Government guidelines.

I am in the clinically extremely vulnerable category; can I still come for an appointment?

YES – you can come to The Hartland Podiatry Clinic if you are high risk. If you are shielding then you are clinically extremely vulnerable. We have worked hard to ensure our clinic meets the government guidance so you feel reassured to visit us. The Government recommendation is to ensure you continue to receive the care you need during this time and access medical assistance where necessary.

I currently have a cough, high temperature or loss of taste or smell, should I still attend my appointment?

NO – If you have either a cough, high temperature, loss of taste or smell please not attend the appointment. Feel free to contact the clinic and we can reschedule your appointment 14 days from your original appointment time so you can safely isolate.

I have been in contact with someone who has a cough, high temperature or loss of taste or smell, should I still attend my appointment?

NO – If you have come into contact with someone who has the symptoms of COVID please do not attend the appointment. Feel free to contact the clinic and we can reschedule your appointment 14 days from your original appointment time so you can safely isolate.

I have been for a COVID test, should I still attend my appointment?

NO – If you have been for a COVID test and has tested positive or are still waiting for your result please do not attend the appointment. Feel free to contact the clinic and we can reschedule your appointment 14 days from your original appointment time so you can safely isolate.
